We just returned home from a TJ's shopping trip. It occurs to me how good it is to be an adult...you can buy all the things. Cookies? Into the cart. Cheesecake Sure, why not. More cookies? Yes.
Being an adult is good sometimes.
Today, we have for you...a review of Trader Joe's Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Stars. These are mini mint flavored cookies covered in dark chocolate.
{Spike wanted to get in on the action.}
Trader Joe's describes these as "rich, crumbly mini star-shaped chocolate shortbread cookies infused with the bright flavor of peppermint, enrobed in luscious dark chocolate and sprinkled with nonpareils." A 10-ounce box costs $2.99.
A mom's (my) take: If I gain 10 pounds over Christmas, I'm totally blaming these little buggers. I'm not sure if it's the crisp cookie, the dark chocolate, or the just-right mint flavor that makes these so addicting. I found myself eating these like I would popcorn. Mr. E said these reminded him of those frosted Circus Animal Cookies, but flavored like an after-dinner mint. (I think he's trying to get in on the reviewing.) ;) Also, the mini stars are utterly cute...extra points for cute food!
Overall rating 5 of 5 stars (plus 5 cute points = 10)
A teenager's (kiddo's) take: I love these! The slightly buttery cookie, dominated by delicious dark chocolate, and accented by a lovely mint flavor is sure to leave you wanting more. A lot more.
Overall rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Trader Joe's Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Stars: it's time to make a Trader Joe's run...if only for these!
